Nama Power and Water Procurement Company, the single procurement agency for electricity and water capacity and output in the Sultanate of Oman, is inviting bids for technical economic advisory services for the geothermal project.
According to the tender notice, PWP plans to continue developing renewable energy projects without compromising the economic performance of the electricity sector, in line with fuel diversification efforts, Oman Vision 2040 and renewable energy targets, and the Sultanate of Oman’s net-zero commitment. PWP is seeking proposals from interested bidders to provide technical economic advisory services for the Hot Springs Geothermal Project, as outlined in the Request for Proposal (RFP).
The selected bidder will be responsible for conducting a feasibility assessment of geothermal energy potential at specific pre-identified locations within the area between Wilayat Fanja and Al Ansab (Wilayat Bousher) as a first phase and in accordance with the specifications, terms and conditions described in the RFP.
Currently, the PWP sets the bid submission date as 22 May 2025.
