OCTG – Vallourec awarded a $50 million Pipe Supply Contract to Qatar

Vallourec awarded Pipe Supply Contract to Qatar

Vallurek, a global leader in premium seamless tubular solutions, has been awarded a major contract to supply oil country tubular goods (OCTG) for drilling operations in Qatar. The new contract represents a revenue of over $50 million.

The contract includes the supply of carbon steel OCTG products with premium connections, to be delivered in 2026, to support Qatar’s increasing drilling activity.

Vallurek has a historic presence in Qatar, where VAM® connections are widely used by all operators. The contract is in line with recent announcements by Qatar-based companies to increase the country’s oil production by 19% and liquefied natural gas (LNG) production by 85% by 2030. Overall, LNG production will reach approximately 142 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). Therefore, these
production increases will require additional drilling and infrastructure development, which will create new opportunities for Vallourec in the coming years.

Philippe Guillemot, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Vallourec Group, commented, “Vallourec has been a reliable supplier to operators in Qatar for decades. This new order demonstrates our competitiveness in providing a significant volume of premium pipes and fittings. Vallourec will be a key strategic partner in oil, gas or carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) projects in Qatar in the coming years.
