The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has awarded the construction project for the Northern 380kV BSP. The project is located in the western province of Al-Bawrah, Saudi Arabia.
The project has been awarded to Al-Qihas Contracting Company, Saudi Arabia. The contract value is SAR 897 million (USD 239 million).
The project scope includes the construction of a new indoor 380/132kV gas insulated substation (GIS), named Northern BSP.
The main equipment includes 380kV GIS, 132kV GIS, 502MVA transformers, reactors, protection and control system, substation automation system, telecommunication system, security system, cyber security, civil works and electro-mechanical works.
